Jamacho Gumba Walking meditation Day Tour

6:30 AM – Pickup from Hotel: Your day begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Kathmandu. You’ll be driven to the entrance of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, where your journey begins.

7:30 AM – Arrival at Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park Entrance: Upon arrival at the park entrance, you’ll purchase your entry ticket and receive a brief introduction to the day’s activities. The guide will explain the concept of mindful walking meditation and how to practice it during the hike.

8:00 AM – Begin the Mindful Walking Meditation: The hike to Jamacho Gumba is approximately 5 kilometers and takes about 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. As you walk, you’ll be encouraged to focus on your breath, the movement of your body, and the natural surroundings. The trail winds through lush forests, home to various bird species, and offers occasional glimpses of the valley below.

11:00 AM – Arrive at Jamacho Gumba: Reaching the top, you’ll find Jamacho Gumba, a small but significant Buddhist monastery. Here, you’ll take time to explore the site, light incense, and offer prayers if you wish.

11:30 AM – Meditation Session: You will participate in a guided meditation session, led by your tour guide or a local monk, focusing on mindfulness and inner peace. The serene environment of Jamacho Gumba provides the perfect backdrop for deep meditation and reflection.

12:30 PM – Lunch Break: After the meditation, enjoy a packed vegetarian lunch amidst nature. You’ll have time to relax, enjoy the views, and take photos.

1:30 PM – Descent: Begin your descent back to the park entrance. Continue practicing mindful walking, staying present with each step and the beauty of the natural surroundings.

4:00 PM – Return to the Park Entrance: You’ll arrive back at the park entrance, where your vehicle will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Kathmandu.

5:00 PM – Drop-off at Hotel: You’ll be dropped off at your hotel, marking the end of a rejuvenating day tour.
