I Didn't Find Spirituality on a Trek. I Found Trekking Through Spirituality.
Namaste. I am Bijaya Ghimire, founder of Nepal Spiritual Trekking.
Since 2005, I have been on a single, continuous pilgrimage. It began with a 10-day Vipassana course, and it never ended.
Over the last 20 years, I have sat, breathed, danced and dissolved through:
Vipassana, Dynamic & Kundalini Meditation, Kriya Yoga, Mahamudra & Dzogchen, the 112 Techniques of Vigyan Bhairav Tantra, and Mindfulness & Walking Meditation in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh.
But techniques are only maps. I had to walk the territory.
And the Himalayas became my monastery.
I meditated in Lapchi, in the very cave where Milarepa attained his rainbow body — where the rock still vibrates with his enlightenment.
I sat for days in Upper Dolpo, Mustang and Manang, in hidden power places of Guru Rinpoche, where the veil between worlds is thin.
I practiced in the frozen silence of Gosaikunda, the sacred lake of Lord Shiva, and in the deep Himalayan caves of Badrinath and Kedarnath.
I sat with impermanence on the burning ghats of Pashupatinath and Varanasi, learning about life by watching death, night after night.
I prayed in temples, sat in churches, bowed in mosques, and meditated in cremation grounds. Because I learned that Truth does not belong to any religion.
This is not a story I read. This is the ground I have walked.
WHY NEPAL SPIRITUAL TREKKING?
I met hundreds of beautiful souls who came to Nepal for Everest, but left searching for something deeper — themselves.
They had a guide for the mountains, but no guide for the inner mountain.
I created Nepal Spiritual Trekking as a Moving Monastery.
We don't just show you the view. We help you find the one who is seeing.
This is where outer pilgrimage becomes inner ascension. Where your personal energy grid is re-calibrated by the planetary power grid of the Himalayas. Where sacred light codes that have been anchored by yogis and masters for thousands of years can finally be felt in your own body.
OUR WORK TOGETHER - What Makes Us Different
This is not a tour. This is an initiation.
1. We Trek to Power Places, Not Tourist Places.
We know the cave behind the cave. The quiet monastery where no tourists go. The specific rock in Lapchi where you can sit for hours in total stillness. The hidden corner of a ghat where transformation actually happens. We go where the energy is still alive.
2. Every Trek is Sadhana.
We integrate practice into the walk itself. Silent sunrise walks from the lineage of Thich Nhat Hanh. Vigyan Bhairav techniques under the stars of Mustang. Kriya breathing to acclimatize and activate your light body. Evening satsang by the fire, not a lecture, but a real sharing from direct experience. The Himalayas does 70% of the work — we just create the right conditions.
3. We Honor All Stages of Awakening.
Whether this is your first mindfulness retreat or you are a seasoned Dzogchen practitioner, you are welcome. We don't force awakening. We uproot limiting subconscious patterns through purification, presence and high-altitude clarity, so your own Higher Self can come forward.
4. Grounded. Authentic. Real.
No fake shamanic shows. No instant enlightenment certificates. We walk. We breathe. We sit. We laugh. We are honest, and the Himalayas are honest with you. That is when real healing and ascension happens.
THIS JOURNEY IS FOR YOU IF...
You feel that your trek in Nepal should transform you, not just tire you.
You are a meditator who longs to practice where Milarepa and Guru Rinpoche practiced.
You are tired of ashram walls and want to meditate in living, breathing, infinite nature.
You are ready to let the Himalayas strip away who you are not, so you can remember who you are.
MY INVITATION TO YOU
Through my own extraordinary experiences of transforming fear into fuel, darkness into light, I have learned one thing:
You can only guide others as far as you have walked yourself.
I have walked through silence and ecstasy, through death at the ghats and rebirth at high passes. I feel deeply fulfilled, and yet I know as long as I am alive, I will keep learning, growing, and becoming.
The Himalayas taught me that ascension is not about going up. It's about going in.
If your soul is calling you to the Himalayas, not just as a traveler but as a pilgrim — I would be honored to walk beside you for a while.
May your outer journey in Nepal become your greatest inner journey.
In gratitude and light,
Bijaya Ghimire
