Wildlife Safari

Nepal is land of diversity and Natural contrast. The southern part of Nepal is plain land where as Northern land is steep greater Himalayas. Since the time of British colony in India, Nepal has been very famous place of Jungle safari and related activities. There used to be hunting missions at the early decades of 20th century. When Nepal became democratic country then it was open for international tourists around 1960's AD. The main attraction of Nepal is Mountains no doubt but the rich flora and fauna found here are also major things of attraction.
In southern part of Nepal lies Koshi Tappu wildlife reserve, in the mid Terai lies Chitwan national Park and on the western Terai lies Bardia national park which are famous for Jungle safari Programs. Koshi wildlife reserve is famous for study and view of specially birds. Chitwan National Park the Nepal's first National park is famous place for view of One horned Rhino, Bengal tiger, different four species of deer, different kinds of birds and many more. It is not just the natural place but this area is inhabitant of Tharu people who have unique culture and Malaria resisting immunity. The stick dance of Tharu people is so famous. Tharu community of Nepal is ethnic community of Terai region of Nepal. 
Some people would prefer Jungle safari packages to Nepal where as other people add jungle safari package to trekking program and rafting program so the Nepal experience would be enriched and complete. Chitwan is third famous place in Nepal for tourism then Kathmandu and Pokhara. It is in the driving distance of 4 hours from both Kathmandu and Pokhara. Flight facility is also possible to chitwan. There are famous lodges and restaurants inside and outside of the national park in Chitwan. Sauraha is the main touristic hub in Chitwan. You can have luxury accommodation of your choice.

Itinerary

Chitwan package tour is usually of 2 nights and 3 days. During this time, you will be involved in different wildlife activities that will be inscribed in your memory for lifetime. This is the general pattern of programs for your idea. Programs can be done in different order too.

DAY 01: WELCOME: On the first day, you reach Chitwan National Park by your preferred travel event- driving, flight or rafting. After your arrival at Chitwan, you will be transferred to a hotel, served with a welcome drink. While you refresh and get ready for the jungle events, we arrange lunch for you.

VILLAGE TOUR: 3.00pm

After the lunch, there will be a short briefing on trip and facilities. In evening you will be taken for village excursion where you get to observe the people and lifestyle in native Tharu community.

ELEPHANT BREEDING CENTER TOUR:

Following the village tour, you will be taken to the elephant breeding center. You will see the feeding, breeding and other interesting habits of tamed elephants. This will be a good tour in between the elephants. After the event, you will be taken back to the hotel at around 6.30 PM for dinner.

CULTURAL SHOW- 7.00pm:

After the dinner, you will still have an event for the evening. You will be going to a show where native Tharu artists demonstrate their cultural and social aspects. You will enjoy the artistic presentation there and return back to the hotel.

DAY 02: WAKE UP CALL-6.45 AM:

The day will begin early when our staff gives you a wake-up call at 6:45. You will be served your breakfast at around 7:15 and we will brief you about the day’s package.

CANOEING AND JUNGLE WALK-8:00 AM:

As the first event of the day, you will be taken for a traditional dugout canoe on a silent Rapti river to watch aquatic animals and birds. You may see Gharial crocodile, marsh muggers and variety of fish together with kingfishers, ospreys, egrets and other birds during the event. Pleasant canoeing will be followed by jungle walk along the national park of open grassland and mesmerizing Sal forests with possibilities of encountering wildlife. You will be assisted by the jungle guide and rangers. You will be back to hotel by 12:00 PM and lunch will be served to you.

ELEPHANT SAFARI-1:30 PM:

This is an exclusive event at Sauraha when you will be riding on a tamed elephant. A herd of elephants walk on a queue with the visitors on the back through the jungle trail. This will be a memorable event riding on the giant animal and encountering endangered One-horned Rhino, Bengal Tiger, and Leopards.

DAY 03: WAKE UP CALL-6.00 AM:

With the early starting of the third day you will be served tea/coffee as the wake-up call.

BIRD WATCHING-6:15 AM:

This early morning we go for birdwatching which will be the most fascinating visit of your trip. The early morning birdwatching will make you feel pleasant. Chitwan National Park is a home to 544 different species of birds, making it one of the best birdwatching destinations. If you are lucky enough, you will be seeing a number of species of birds which you hardly get to see elsewhere.

BREAKFAST-7:30 AM:

After one hour of birdwatching we return to the hotel for breakfast. As it is the last day of your trip, you will be packing up your luggage.

Departure: 9:00 AM:

You will be leaving Chitwan the very day to Kathmandu. You can return by land or by flight as mentioned earlier. Or you can also extend your trip if you want to capture more beauty around there.

Cost Excludes

  • Accommodation Expenses at Kathmandu.
  • The spending depends upon the standard of hotel you choose to stay.
  • Any other transportation than tourist bus from/to Kathmandu
  • Travel and safety insurances-International flight tickets to and from Kathmandu including airport taxes-Nepal entry visa fee-Your personal first aid kit, equipment and items of personal use.
  • All drink and beverages expenses (including Water/Coke/alcoholic beverage and hot drinks) if any
  • Field staff and jungle guide tipping expenses if any (Tipping expected)-One should bear all the costs of any other expenses which are not mentioned in the ‘Cost Includes’ section.
