Day 1 : Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)
- Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
- Transfer to the hotel and rest.
- Briefing about the Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour.
- Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and Preparation
- Visit major UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu, including Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Boudhanath Stupa.
- Prepare for the pilgrimage and check your gear.
- Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m)
- Drive or fly to Pokhara, the city of lakes.
- Explore the serene Phewa Lake and visit the Tal Barahi Temple.
- Optional visit to the World Peace Pagoda for sunset views.
- Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Day 4: Fly to Jomsom (2,720m) and Drive to Kagbeni (2,800m)
- Early morning flight to Jomsom, a picturesque town in Mustang.
- Drive to Kagbeni, the gateway to Upper Mustang and Muktinath.
- Explore Kagbeni village and visit the Kag Chode Thupten Samphel Ling Monastery.
- Overnight stay in Kagbeni.
Day 5: Kagbeni to Muktinath (3,710m) and Return to Jomsom
- Drive to Muktinath Temple, located at the base of the Thorong La Pass.
- Perform the rituals, take a holy bath in the 108 Muktidhara, and visit the Jwala Mai Temple.
- Explore the surrounding area, including the Buddhist monastery and the Mukti Kunda.
- Drive back to Jomsom for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Fly back to Pokhara
- Early morning flight back to Pokhara.
- Free time in Pokhara to relax or explore more attractions.
- Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Day 7: Drive/Fly back to Kathmandu
- Return to Kathmandu by flight or by road.
- Free time for last-minute shopping or exploring the city.
- Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 8: Departure from Kathmandu
- Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.
- End of the Muktinath Pilgrimage Tour.
