  • Day 1 : Mount Kailash Mansarovar Holy Pilgrimage Yatra Itinerary (Starting from Nepal)

    Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

    • Activities: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel. Evening briefing about the pilgrimage and preparation.
    • Overnight: Kathmandu
    • Highlights: Pashupatinath Temple visit for evening aarti (optional).

    Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Preparation

    • Activities: Visit key spiritual sites in Kathmandu, including Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and Bouddhanath Stupa. Final preparations and packing for the journey.
    • Overnight: Kathmandu

    Day 3: Drive to Syabrubesi

    • Distance: 145 km | 6-7 hours drive
    • Activities: Depart from Kathmandu early morning and drive to Syabrubesi, a small town near the Nepal-Tibet border. The drive offers scenic views of the Trishuli River and the Langtang Himalayas.
    • Overnight: Syabrubesi

    Day 4: Drive to Kerung (Tibet)

    • Distance: 40 km | 2-3 hours drive
    • Activities: After breakfast, drive to the Nepal-Tibet border and cross into Tibet via Rasuwagadhi. Complete immigration formalities and continue to Kerung. Acclimatization and rest in Kerung.
    • Overnight: Kerung

    Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Kerung

    • Activities: Spend the day acclimatizing to the higher altitude. Gentle walks around Kerung and rest are recommended.
    • Overnight: Kerung

    Day 6: Drive to Saga

    • Distance: 270 km | 5-6 hours drive
    • Activities: Drive to Saga, passing through beautiful landscapes including rivers, gorges, and mountains. This is a long day on the road, so prepare for a full day of travel.

    Day 7: Drive to Lake Mansarovar

    • Distance: 450 km | 8-9 hours drive
    • Activities: Start early for a long drive to Lake Mansarovar. Upon arrival, perform a holy dip in the sacred lake and participate in a ritual circumambulation (parikrama) of the lake. The lake is known for its serene beauty and spiritual significance.
    • Overnight: Chiu Gompa (near Lake Mansarovar)

    Day 8: Drive to Darchen

    • Distance: 40 km | 1-2 hours drive
    • Activities: Drive to Darchen, the base camp for Mount Kailash. Darchen is the starting point for the Kailash Kora (circumambulation).
    • Overnight: Darchen

    Day 9: First Day of Kailash Kora – Trek to Dirapuk

    • Distance: 20 km | 6-7 hours trek
    • Activities: Begin the Kailash Kora with a trek to Dirapuk. The trek offers breathtaking views of Mount Kailash. Pilgrims will pass the famous Yam Dwar, considered the gateway to the gods.
    • Overnight: Dirapuk (Guesthouse or basic accommodation)

    Day 10: Second Day of Kailash Kora – Trek to Zuthulphuk via Dolma La Pass

    • Distance: 22 km | 8-9 hours trek
    • Activities: This is the most challenging day of the Kora, crossing the Dolma La Pass (5,636 meters). After the pass, descend to Gauri Kund, a sacred lake, before continuing to Zuthulphuk.
    • Overnight: Zuthulphuk (Guesthouse or basic accommodation)

    Day 11: Third Day of Kailash Kora – Trek to Darchen and Drive to Saga

    • Distance: 10 km trek | 3-4 hours | 400 km drive
    • Activities: Complete the Kailash Kora with a short trek back to Darchen. Afterward, drive back to Saga.
    • Overnight: Saga

    Day 12: Drive to Kerung

    • Distance: 270 km | 5-6 hours drive
    • Activities: Retrace your journey back to Kerung, enjoying the landscapes of the Tibetan Plateau.
    • Overnight: Kerung

    Day 13: Drive to Kathmandu

    • Distance: 140 km | 6-7 hours drive
    • Activities: Cross the border back into Nepal and drive to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel and rest.
    • Overnight: Kathmandu

    Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu

    • Activities: After breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey.
